Hi Mary, Cool looking spices! I would have loved to see the Terra Cotta Soldiers! Did you get to climb the Great Wall while in Bejiing? I did not see pics. I really missed having a thick newspaper while in China. Do you feel that way? The China Daily just didn't cut it for me. I'm back in Lincoln now....refreshed from our strenuous hike in the Grand Canyon! Lynn
We've been in Xi'an most of the journey and leave tomorrow for Beijing. Then we'll see the Great Wall and another elementary school.
I'll admit that I haven't worried much about the news lately. We see the highlights on CNN and then are off on our own adventures! Glad the break was relaxing. It sounds as though the Lincoln temperatures were stunning for the week away.
A huge thank you to Dr. David Lou and the Confucius Institute for giving us this opportunity to learn about the culture and the educational system of China. We became more thoughtful members of the global community with this experience.
