It didn't seem like 40 million when we were in the middle of it! There wasn't a huge amount of traffic and Beijing is very clean and tidy. Lots of glass in all the buildings. Xian is much more industrial, therefore more smog. It was sunny and warm in Beijing, cloudier and cooler in Xian. We get to visit at least five schools. We saw lots of school children going home from school today (although it was only 1:30 p.m.). They were riding on the backs of the bicycles of their parents. Some sideways, some backwards, all cute!
